AR Rahman To Compose Music For Next James Bond Film

After the super success of Slumdog Millionaire, which swept this year Oscar Awards, the lucky pair of Danny Boyle and A R Rahman are being flooded with offers. The latest news is that, Danny Boyle has been asked to direct James Bond's 23rd film, according to an unconfirmed report. Thus there is also rumor that, the Oscar winning music maestro A R Rahman might rope in for the upcoming James Bond project.

Some unconfirmed reports say that, Barbara Broccoli, producer of the next James Bond film has approached Danny Boyle to direct the film. A source says that, Danny's intense involvement with the motifs he drops on his script papers is unbeatable by any of the contemporary filmmakers. The source further adds that, surely, he would offer a new-dimensioned James Bond.

There are also widespread rumors that Rahman is now being considered for a role in the Bond project. But there is no confirmation regarding this. However one thing is certain that, if Rahman does it, the next James Bond soundtrack would be a super duper hit.

AR Rahman at the 81st Annual Academy Awards 2009 at Kodak Theatre

AR Rahman was a blend of humility and pride while walking down the red carpet with wife Sairaa, and later receiving two Oscars, at the 81st Annual Academy Awards 2009 at Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, CA, Sunday, February 22.
Rahman won Oscars for Original Score and Original Song for Slumdog Millionaire, the runaway success story of the evening which swept the awards night with 8 wins from 10 nominations.
Rahman also performed O Saya and Jai Ho during the evening watched by millions across the globe.

AFTER THE AWARD WINNING...
"Ella pughalum iraivanuke (All glory and fame is to God)" was how music maestro A R Rahman reacted to his double-Oscar feat. Besides God, the 'Mozart of Madras' also dedicated his Oscars to his "loving" mother Kareema Begum, who was seated among the audience at the Kodak Theatre.

Rahman has always dedicated his awards to them. "I always had a choice between love and hate in my life. And I chose love and I am here," a beaming Rahman said at the Awards Ceremony.

Having shouldered the responsibilities of his family at the tender age of 9, Rahman never had an opportunity to get proper education in his life. Begum had in an interview to a Tamil weekly had said she will feel bad forever for not giving her son an opportunity to enjoy his childhood days.
